Q | Do we have to speak out loud for them to hear/understand?
A | Short answer, nope! Enjoy your day.
Only kidding. I’ll give a bit more of an explanation than that.
One does not have to speak aloud to have ghosts understand. What I suggest is determining what’s comfortable for you. I regularly carry on one sided conversations, at least to the listening ear. However, I also talk to my dogs and my plants and my belongings in this way.
I’ve held full conversations in the candy aisle of the grocery store convincing one of my ghost friends that she doesn’t need three different kinds for our movie night and needs to pick only two. I’ve spoken to a ghost group of lost French immigrants from the early twenties who were stuck in front of the Flatiron Building to help them transition. I’ve waived to the enthusiastic crowd gathered outside of the funeral home who were excited that I could see them.
Most people are so absorbed in their own lives that they pay very little attention to what you’re doing.
So since I see ghosts standing in front of me, I speak aloud to them.
For me it feels more conversational and natural to do it this way. However, it’s not necessary. They can understand you perfectly well if you communicate telepathically. We even do this with human connections. A knowing look to a close friend signals that you want to get the heck out of this gathering. A smile across the room can link you to a stranger. It’s all energy.
The more comfortable you are, the easier it will be. It’s the same with the living.
